It's an old trick; I just used slightly muted colors for the background, and bolder ones for Ord.

And more growth would be all right in my book. C:

I didn't realize it before, but you're right! Hard to believe how easily a slight tweak in brightness can really draw the eye to things.

I gave Ord a slightly brighter color palette than the rest of the picture so he would stand out more...

...not that he needs any help standing out at that size!
