It totally is, good catch! Played that one a few times recently, but replacing the sea monsters with cooler things, like little figures of Godzilla and Batman and Kirby, lol

I admit, while I'm not a huge fanatic of realism, I can appreciate pieces of people's characters just doing things like this that have them being expressive and getting into it. As everyday and normal as the activity might be, I'm able to get into it because the character is getting into it.

I have not! I'm typically more of a physical board gamer, I like handling the real pieces and playing with people in front of me!

I figured so much that's why this game is so interesting ,it have fysiske sure you can't feel the cards as you would do in real life, but they behave as if it would in reality (to some degree)

You and me both man. I attend a weekly board game club and own around 70+ board games. I got descent: Journeys into the dark for Christmas.

Not a bad drawing. I think the reason more people don't play board games is because you have to have people show up in order to do it.

And that's precisely why I like it! Real, personal, people interaction. That's also why I'd take couch co-op and LAN multiplayer games over online ones if the option is there, hehe.

As do I. Heck, many times when I play an online co-op game like Left 4 Dead or Super Smash Bros. I almost never go online at all.

What board games do you have or like?

For Christmas I got that Relic boardgame (based on Talisman). I also have Ticket to Ride and Star Trek Catan (a-la Wil Wheaton Tabletop :) ), amongst a couple others.

Personal favorites among the games I own is a bit harder to decide, as some I've only played once or twice so far, and also my favorite games are not necessarily my gaming groups favorites, and when the people you're playing with don't enjoy it that can certainly impact your own enjoyment X3
For games that I've played enough to have a solid opinion: for quick and fun game: Jungle Speed. for all around: Cosmic Encounter. For long and complicated: Eclipse.
For games I've barely played but think I would really like to play more: Rex and A Game of Thrones, both moderately long and complex
My groups favorites/the ones that seem to appeal to the most people: Coup and Jungle Speed for quick games, 7 Wonders and King of Tokyo for a bit longer ones, and Eclipse for the long games.

Always fun *(and less stress)* to take a game out and play all sides, no pressure for anyone to win, try out crazy strategies. Cooperative games make good solitaire play, kind of feel like puzzles.

I do that a fair bit actually! Mostly to learn the games better, so I'm more prepared to explain them to friends for the first time.

heh, I'm careful NOT to play before I've played the first time with friends, because I tend to miss a rule or two, and better to figure out how to play right the first time than unlearn.
