Still continuing on with these two, I love how this turned out. And now the story continues.
Topaz and Nicholas continued to see the other over the next few days. The other Jeweled Vixens couldn't help but notice the change in the vixen's attitude; she seemed more happy and cheerful than usual. Then another day came for her and Nicholas to meet again. Topaz was like a little kid on Christmas Morning.
"I so see you latter," stated the blond hair vixen to the others before leaving. They looked at each other in confusion.
"Okay, is it just me or does she seem more preppy and hyper than usual?" asked Aquamarine.
"Aie, I have lassie," commented Onyx.
"She shouldn't be that excited just to go out," said Sapphire, the group's leader.
"You mean you can't tell?" asked Jade with a teasing grin. "You can see it in her eyes; Topaz has been bit by the love bug."
"Wait, you don't think...?" went Emerald.
"Oh it's happened, I can tell," answered the grey-black furred vixen. "I've seen it all the time. She's found somebody."
"Well ain't that the cutest thing ever?" asked Ruby with a glint in her eyes.
"At least she should know not to say what she does," commented Amethyst.
Topaz in the meantime made it to the beach again, high in the clouds. The vixen was so happy to be seeing Nicholas again. She found the vulpine waiting for her with a grin on his face.
"There you are, you're early," he commented. The vixen went right up to him.
"Really? I like thought I was so late," she replied.
"Nope, not at all," went Nicholas. "So shall we?" Topaz nodded. The two went down the boardwalk, just looking at the shops and things that were happening.
"God, she's dressed to kill," thought the vulpine as he couldn't help but steal glances at the vixen in her outfit. Yellow shorts, and a pink shirt leaving her stomach exposed made up her outfit. Nicholas also couldn't help but notice the envious looks he got from other guys as they saw him and Topaz. The vulpine had to struggle not to let out growls of protection as though he was claiming her and glare back at them. Needless to say Nicholas would sometimes slip up and it would happen. "But she's not yours remember?" he asked himself inside his head. "You don't know where Topaz stands in that part of life."
Little did he know that the vixen heard his growls and couldn't help but love it; to think that he cared about her. Topaz also couldn't help but notice the jealous looks she got from other females when they saw her with him. The vixen had to struggle not to send glares back at them; Topaz disliked violence and wasn't the kind to get in a fight. But she would slip up and the glares would happen. They sent a message to back off or else.
Eventually the two foxes made their way to another part of the boardwalk and there Nicholas spotted something. "Hey take a look Topaz." She did and saw a place to rent roller skates. "Want to try it out?"
"Sure, let's go," she answered. It was one of the things Topaz liked to do. They went over and got a pair each. After leaving their shoes behind, the vixen noticed something about the vulpine.
"Wait... since when have you like been short?" she asked.
"What?" went Nicholas.
"I'm like taller than you," Topaz ansewered. The vulpine went up close and using his right paw compared himself to Topaz.
"By god, you're right, you are taller than me," he answered. "So what is your height?"
"I'm 5'8."
"Oh... well I'm 5'7," commented Nicholas, a bit sad. "I hope that's not a bad thing." He didn't want her to say it was.
"No, it's so fine," replied Topaz with a heartwarming smile. And she really meant it. The vulpine could see it in her eyes.
"Cool then," said Nicholas. "Now let's get going." They put on their skates and started down the board walk. The vulpine showed that he could a few tricks; The Bunny Hop, and The One Leg Skate which was were he raised one leg and skated just on the other. Nicholas could also skate with his paws behind his back. Topaz was surprised that the vulpine could.
"Let me try!" she exclaimed. But when the vixen did, she fell right into Nicholas's chest as he caught her.
"Whoa! Easy there Topaz," he commented with a smile. She just looked up with blush on her face at the fact she was this close to him. He was blushing as well to have Topaz in his arms. "Come on, grab my paws and will skate together."
In just a bit the two foxes were doing so, grinning and laughing. The blush was still on their faces, but they didn't care. The day then came to an end.
"So how did you enjoy that?" asked Nicholas to her.
"I like had so much fun!" stated Topaz.
"Well that's how I wanted our date to be." The two then froze and went red in the face. "S-sorry," said the vulpine quickly. "Did I say date? Must have slipped my tongue."
They just laughed it off. They then left, but not before exchanging phone numbers. They then said they would call to arrange the next meeting. Topaz left, with a huge smile on her face, happy that he thought this had been a date. The vixen thought so as well. She clutched the piece of paper that had his phone number on it tightly.
Meanwhile the vulpine slipped the piece of paper that had her phone number on it in his pocket. Nicholas then went to a pay phone and called a different number. "Yes, this is me," he went. "No, everything's going fine. She doesn't suspect anything yet. She was right about Topaz; that vixen doesn't have any common sense. Not that I'll use that to my advantage. It's only going to be a matter of time." Nicholas then hung up and left. Things were about to get interesting.

Sorry that it was so long, but I like how this turned out. And a little plot twist thrown in as well. It's all part of my plan of the story involving Topaz and Nicholas.
