Same thing! Portal gun is for puzzle solving and occasional combat when someone'd dumb enough to shoot bombs or rockets at you and you have that luck that every surface around you is covered in moonrock gel. The best thing you could do with it is hit enemies over their heads with it. And that is not a good thing because Portal gun is very fragile device with parts that just asks for being broken so GLaDOS or whoever is currently in charge of Aperture Science would get really mad.
