Ok, before anyone writes me to complain about the number designation of this fighter please remember that this drawing was done about 1989. The F-22 as we know it today had not yet flown and even models and mockups had not yet been shown to the public to my knowledge. It is not the super-stealth F-15 replacement that the F-22 Raptor became, but is instead a high agility F-16, and relatively low-cost, replacement. Also I wanted to experiment with 2-D vector thrust arrangement.

With them that far back, too, you'd have issues with radar reflections off the foremost compressor blades... And this wasn't meant as supersonic, was it? I thought the long intake trunks on most fighters were shaped to bring the airflow down below supersonic speeds...
But then... '89.

It looks an awful lot like the Mitsubishi F1X --- particularly the thrust nozzles.
I posted a 3-view of the F1X about a year back, which you can compare to you concept;

Very Nice; I can see a bit of the 'F-22' in there with the main body but the undercarrige (including doors), air intakes and the forward section (nose and cockpit) looks more like a Shukoi; just add a dash of Taiwan and Japan's indiginous designs XD
lol theres my say in what it looks like; picture wise a fine example of lineart ^^

Taiwan has a single and two seat fighter that looks like an F-16; meanwhile Japans 'stealth' fighter concept looks very much like this (in truth Japan would like to purchase the raptor but a current law prohibits Lockheed from selling it....like it or loath it the Rator has the best the US has to offer in avionics!)
