Furrolitics: Murphy, Brown and Voter Purges

One way for the votes of people of certain demographics not to be counted doesn't directly involve voter ID, but by making them "ineligible" because their name comes close to matching the name of a convict or, in some states, someone on parole (some states allow them to vote, some don't). I guess you don't have to be exact, like using a SS# or their middle names or initials, just make sure the first and last name match, and it has to be the same guy voting in multiple counties, because that's what criminals and parolled people do!

That's weird, you would think the GOP would *want* criminals to be voting more

I think that once everyone in the U.S. becomes a felon, we'd have major changes.

Quite an interesting topic. It does honestly surprise me. In my country, you show your personal ID before you receive the paper needed to vote. I feel like an id number is something unique and serves as a perfect identifier for this kind of stuff, so given how personal records work, I'd like to think that it'd be an easy thing to check afterwards. It would seem dumb to forbid 200 John Smiths to vote because 1 John Smith robbed a liquor store. Or if this would be this hard to execute, just .... make all votes count, and if you're that much against criminals having a say about elections: DO NOT BOTHER TO COLLECT VOTES IN PRISONS! Once they leave the prison... who cares?

OP
Yeah, it's obviously they're just finding "legal" ways to take away opposition votes. Why would a criminal drive around to a couple hundred of places just to vote?

Yeah, exactly. With elections, there's always talk of how people want to trick the system to get more votes. I keep hearing of politicians getting party members who have the same last names as big name politicians from opposing parties, so that people will vote on them in confusion.
