It looks like a military officer hat. Basically my dad had a same style hat as a major in the US air force. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwOVgxNjAw/z/yroAAOSwKrhVVns7/$_35.JPG so I mean, yes it looks like an SS officer's cap, because that seems to be the military style for hats apparently
