For those of you who like shipping Alister and Kaden... :D
In a "What if" situation, Alister manages to track down Kaden as he is going to hide infant Ratchet on Veldin. Since Kaden has lost his wife in the invasion of Fastoon by Tachyon, he quickly turns to Alister for comfort, which soon turns to love as they are raising Ratchet together on Veldin.
In this piece, Kaden has been having nightmares and Alister is trying to convince him to attempt to get some rest.

I think Insomniac was more inclining that Kaden and Alister were besties, but whether or not they had a love affair, it's left up to the fans to fight that out. Heck, for all I know, both Ratchet's parents and Alister were in a bisexual relationship and it's just too painful for Alister to even talk about Ratchet's mother. (this is coming from knowing female cats tend to mate with more than one male while they're in heat, resulting in different colored kittens in the same litter)
