As my latest 'sweeps month' (November, 2014) continues, I've got a doozie of an "EFF" ("Extraordinarily Fat Furries") comic gag - combining 'fan art' with 'fat furs' - but first, a brief backstory...
Back in the 1970s, I used to remember seeing some one-panel comic gags with fat anthropomorphic animals in them, drawn by a very talented cartoonist (whose name escapes me for the moment). For example, one such gag involves a very burly bear, trying to play tennis, but not very successfully - as one tennis ball zooms through his racquet, while another ball bounces off his ample abdomen!
Well, another (more memorable) comic gag from this cartoonist depicts a pair of hippopotami (one male and one female), in a bold but fruitless attempt to hug and embrace, but cannot reach each other - as their respective bountiful bellies keep getting in the way. This particular cartoon was so popular, it was even made into a jigsaw puzzle (which I regret not buying, all those years ago).
Since then, other cartoonists had drawn variations of this theme, with other corpulent critters (e.g. bears, elephants, et al) having difficulty engaging in similar hugs. I'd felt it was high time for me to finally render my own version of said gag...
Recently, while visiting other "FA" sites, I saw two nameless fat otters of opposite genders - from two different anthroartists - who I thought were just made for each other!
From "Fur Affinity" newbie Whuntmore, there's his "Tubby Otter" - which you can view in his site at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13991470/ ...
...and from "FA" veteran Bonex, there's his full-figured fem otter from his work "2big4u" - the original artwork of which you can see at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14943064/ .
I don't know if this comic image will ever by made into a jigsaw puzzle, but trying to put this twosome together will certainly one of the great enigmas of all time!
