I've been working with chalk pastels lately; my art teacher allowed me to borrow some pastel pencils, and I tested them out with one of my favorite birds. I love how fast they are - this took me about an hour and a half, but covering the same area with colored pencils would have taken me at least 3 hours. I just need to learn to control and blend them better!
