I use Wings3d for the modeling. It's still the easiest modeler for me to use.
For texturing, I use Paint.NET. GIMP is just too big for me. Sometimes too complex to do simple things,
it's very memory heavy, and takes over 5 minutes just to open the thing.
For rendering and some post composition, I use Blender.

Wings is the easiest for me specifically because of the interface, heh. It uses context menus, so it changes depending on what's selected.
As for rendering and textures, it took me a while as well. I use Cycles as opposed to Blender render, but a few tutorials helped me to get to this point.
This tutorial may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxn1IiAc_bc
I don't UV map in Blender. I do it in Wings, then export.

All I can say is I wish that was real.
Oh
Yeah that would be a great feture for second life and IMVU if you could transfer your digital items like pacifiers, diapers, bottles.
But nothing violent like guns and swords!
Into actual items. You could tell second life or IMVU you want to transfer the items and they will make it for you and send it to your door.
Man that would be a awesome thing to have you would not have it in the game any more but you would be sucking on it as you played the game.
IMVU/Second Life make it happen

You can always get a 3D printer, but those are expensive and need trouble shooting.
Alternatively, there IS a company that would 3D print your items for you, then ship the item back to you.
They are called Shapeways: http://www.shapeways.com/

I don't really know. I've been looking around trying to find references to how much it would cost.
I don't have this model on this computer, and they force me to create an account to upload something.
But I saw on another 3D printing website a small model where this may cost anywhere between $15 and $40 bucks. That includes shipping.
It all depends on how many pieces there are to the object (this may have 3, for the main body, the rubber [silicon?] nipple [lol, nipple], and the ring).
It also depends on the size of the object (this is 4 inches tall?), and the materials you want to print in.
In the case of the nipple, that would cost the most simply because it's a flexible material. The other materials are rather cheap, comparatively.
The other website I was thinking of is http://www.sculpteo.com/en/ by the way.
I had wanted to get myself a 3D printer long ago so I could make and print stuff for people for reasonable prices. Unfortunately, no money.

OK, so I came across 2 pages, one showing an example model in many different materials, to give a kind of reference, and the materials page, showing prices.
Here is the page of an example of a bunny: http://www.shapeways.com/product/MJ.....ionId=42302054
Here is the materials price page: http://www.shapeways.com/materials
I was using that bunny as a reference. I see where they mention flexible, but I'm not sure if that's the same rubber like material I'm thinking of.
Either way, the price seems like it would be between $15 and $30 actually, but probably closer to about $25.
The cheapest material is the default plastic most people use, which is about 7 bucks. Metal is about 25 bucks, and silver is around 70-80 smackeroos.
I doubt you'd want a very expensive and rather heavy pacifier like that though, heh.
Also, I missed your other question earlier. I'm not sure if you could use it, as in put it in your mouth and leave it there, but I'm sure you can.
After all, for the most part it's probably made out of the same things everything else you use on a daily basis is made out of.
