This beautiful work was done by 
catmonkshiro. Originally it was to be done on my wife and I's fourteenth anniversary, various schedule conflicts and other issues delayed it until now.
This Summer my family went to Smith Mountain Lake (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smith_Mountain_Lake) for our vacation. We had a wonderful time there and even celebrated our 14th anniversary there. The background for this picture is based on an actual photo I took from the deck of the lakehouse we stayed at.

Oh wow, Shiro did a really fantastic job on this. His style is a little more simplistic but much more vibrant and eye popping and in some respect more lifelike. The characters look like they're part of a short animation.
And Kimberly looks really beautiful. It's good to see a well drawn picture of her since she's rarely in color and most picture only show part of her.

Thank you, Brother Bull! Kimberly is very beautiful, no matter whether human or rat. I confess I'm really glad that she likes it a little bit, even if she isn't furry herself. And you're right, she doesn't appear in color much in my pictures. I shall have to remedy that when I have more discretionary funds.

She's known I was furry since our dating days. I used to read her my stories, and in them I created characters for both of us who were Rats. When my story character proposed to her story character, that's when I got down to propose to my wife. That was over sixteen years now. She has never gotten into furry herself, but she knows I have her drawn as a Rat because it means so much to me; she knows it's one way I say "I love you" to her.
