The Main Hall was packed to capacity with Haposaurs from all over Whimsia who were all eager to see Ducky and Binky’s wedding. The right side was decorated with yellow bows, banners, and streamers in honor of Ducky’s family. The left side featured similar decorations in which were greenish blue in color in honor of Binky and her family.
“I’ve never seen so much yellow and green in my life,” said Scuttle.
Normally, the Main Hall was an open space that featured nothing more than a long, red carpet that lead from one side of the building to the other with a staircase and a number of open rooms on either side. Today, however, the room had been totally transformed and the only thing he could recognize was the staircase in which was now decorated with green and yellow cloths and flowers.
“It’s actually quite pretty,” said Bubble. “It all just looks and feels so happy!”
“I agree,” said Lucky. “This will truly be a day to remember.”
TOOT-TOO
TOO-TOOT!
The sound of trumpets began to echo through the room.
“We should take our seats,” said Truent. “The ceremony is about to start.”
A brief silence fell over the room as the front door opened to allow the basket carriers in to distribute the ceremonial Flowers of the Families. Behind them was a mysterious, sparkling, purple mist.
“This is new,” stated Truent. “I don’t recall any sort of magical fog being a part of a traditional, Haposaur wedding.”
BA-LING
BA-LING
TING
The sound of a harp and triangle filled the air as Ducky took his place at the front of the crowd. He held a bouquet of yellow flowers and wore a crown of similarly colored flowers upon his head.
PA-LING! TING! TING!
TOO-TO-TOOT

TOO-TO-TOOT
The harpist, triangle player, and trumpeters began to play the ceremonial wedding song as Binky made her way down the stairs. She was holding a large bouquet of green flowers and wearing a crown of similarly colored flowers upon her head.
“Wow,” she thought as she made her way down and took notice of the large crowd that had gathered in honor of their special day. “This is truly something else.”
As she continued on her way down the stairs, she noticed the sparkling, purple mist that was gradually making its way towards the back row of guests.
“Ducky sure is something,” she thought as she admired the magical fog. “I feel I may cry before I even reach the altar.”
Ducky smiled as he watched his bride take her final steps down towards the altar.
“Fireworks and now pretty mist,” he thought curiously as he glanced briefly outward. “My friends are truly something.”
Binky took her spot at Ducky’s side, put her bouquet of flowers alongside Ducky’s at the altar, and stared him straight in the eyes.
“Are you ready?” he asked softly.
“Yes,” she replied.
A red colored Haposaur, who was clad in a feathered hat and a robe that featured the design of an open egg with a sun coming out of it, stood between the couple.
“Peace and love to all in attendance on this truly special day!” he proclaimed. “I now kindly ask all in attendance to stand so that they may be of witness to this unity between the Meadows and Flora families.”
FA-RUMP!
The sound of groups of Haposaurs standing in unison echoed through the room. However, oddly, it only seemed the first ten rows took to their feet while the rest remained in their seats.
The red Haposaur scratched at his head for a moment before repeating in a slightly louder tone, “I now kindly ask all in attendance to stand so that they may be of witness to this unity between the Meadows and Flora families.”
No sound was heard after the speaker had given his request. However, some of the attendees who were once standing were now sitting down.
Ducky and Binky looked outward in bafflement.
“It’s not my wedding!” cried a voice from the far back. “So why should I care what you have to say?”
A chorus of additional voices chimed in with a variety of rude and unkind remarks.
“What’s going on?” Binky asked with concern.
The red Haposaur commented, “I’ve never seen anything like this in my entire career as a Peace Bringer.”
Ducky was speechless as he looked outward and watched as more-and-more guests began to become upset and unruly. He also noticed that the mysterious mist was now growing thicker as it made its way closer to where they were standing.
“What’s going on, daddy?” Lucky asked with concern.
The Saurral looked towards his son and answered, “I don’t know.”
“Perhaps that sparkle magic you came up with is irritating the guests,” said Binky.
Ducky was surprised at hearing how she had thought he was responsible for the sparkling, purple mist.
“Honey,” he stated. “I had nothing to do with this.”
The mist had now made its way to where the couple and the Peace Bringer were standing.
“I don’t see any reason to go on,” the Peace Bringer stated as he began to walk away. “This is your problem. Not mine.”
Ducky and Binky looked at each other with pure disbelief. However, in near unison, they both started to feel a bit groggy.
“I feel funny,” said Binky.
Realizing something wasn’t right, Ducky yelled, “Everyone, get out of here!”
