Yep, another chapter this week, and second last of this arc and possibly of JNL before the next story. Hope you all enjoy.
And yeah another cliff hanger.

We stood there, looking from both taurs, trying to figure out if we were going crazy or if we had just heard that. “What was that?” I asked thinking I must have misheard it. Christie sighed a bit and looked at us, “I work for the Pirate Armada. My main mission is to find allies for the Armada.” I turned and looked at Gem and Freya. “So, we have been helping a pirate?” Gem asked looking at her. “Look, we can explain. But from Christie’s reports this is not all of the crew, so we find the others and then I will explain” Rita said as she looked at us. “Well, cause Christie has been a help, I think it’s only right we hear an explanation” Gem said, speaking up as we turned to look at her. She and I looked at each other, our eyes locking for a minute on the other and I nodded. “Agreed” I said.
“Eluna it’s up to you if you want to stick around for this or if you want to go off and do something else” Gem said as she turned to face the trader. “Well, Could be interesting either way. Sides I still want my payment” she said as she smiled a bit at Gem. “Well come on then, let’s go find the others” I said as we started a bit further into the settlement.
It actually didn’t take long until we got to the part of the settlement where Serra and Necetra were. “It seems you found your way here” Serra said as she looked up at them. She turned to Necetra and said something, causing the cyborg to nod. “Ok, well I guess now is the time to tell you all the truth. But this does not get out, at all” Rita said as she sat on her haunches with Christie doing the same. The rest of us nodded as we sat down as well, Freya was focusing on getting her body to us, but still listened.
“Well, if you must know, we do use tactics Pirates would use yes. But the Pirate Armada is more than that, we are freedom fighters” Rita said as she looked at us. “Freedom fighters, but where does the name come from?” Kiri spoke up looking at the tiger/canine taur. The Pirate Queen turned and looked at her. “A good question. I know you come from a world that has no direct ties to the galaxy at large. But to put it simple, we are labelled the name of the Pirate Armada by the galactic government” Rita explained. “But why, if you are freedom fighters?” I asked as I looked at her. “Well, truth is, we are fighting for taurs to get equal rights” she said.
Gem spoke up this time, “What do you mean?” Christie took her turn to speak and explain. “Well, you are lucky. You and Jack came from a world we taurs are equal, if what I heard is right” she said. I nodded and looked at them. “Yeah, I mean taurs are treated normally alongside anthros and humans on our world” I said, remembering back to my friend Vix, wondering how she is lately. “You know, I like to know how many of the worlds have evolved species so similar” Gem said as she brought that up. “Well, I am sure there is something to it. Let’s just listen to the tale” Eluna said.
Rita looked at us waiting to see if we have anything to say. “Taurs are a loop hole so to speak. Because we can be seen as part animals, we can be used as cheap labour. Taurs are often put on planets just for us while the government uses us” She said as she went quiet letting the information set in. “I think I do understand what you are talking about” I said. I turned to the others and looked at them. “I am interested in history on my home world, this does seem familiar” I explained getting after seeing the confused look form the aliens.
“Well, yeah. As said, we taurs are treated badly. After one day, I decided enough was enough. I set out along with my sisters looking for those that would join our cause. It didn’t take at first, but a few stepped forward. One being the second in command of my flagship. Despite being a mouse, she knew how to help get more to our cause. With her help support came in. Even some of the taur families that were, well more treated lent their support and money” she said as she took a break to catch her breath. She nodded at Christie and the vixen taur nodded. “We manage to get many taurs to our cause. It didn’t take long until we had ships, robots and others to help us. We managed to find a planet in a part of the galaxy the government had explored yet. We can’t tell you the name or location, just in case” Christie said as we nodded, understanding what she meant.
“We have been fighting the government, making a point that taurs are people as well, despite our tauric bodies. To us it’s as part of us as fur or hair, we can’t change it” Rita said. “Well, I got to say, it makes sense doesn’t it Gem?” I asked looking over to my girlfriend. The coyote nodded as she looked at the two taurs. “Yeah it does” she said. Freya slithered up to Christie and looked at her in the eyes. “Christie, I am sorry to accuse you of being some sort of harm to the crew. Can you forgive me?” The serpent asked the taur. Christie chuckled and nods, “I will Freya. I understand why you were like that anyway.”
Rita smiled and then looked to me. “Jack, I just want to say as well not everyone has managed to believe us so quickly. But then again I heard those things you said on that planet a while back” she said. I blinked as I tried to recall and then looked at her, “How?” “How did I know? You were talking to a ‘drone’ of mine. I controlled the vixen with the tiger stripes, as I do with several others. It helps me keep in check with the government, learn their moves” she said with a grin. “Pretty neat trick” I said returning the grin.
Gem turned to Freya, “How goes with getting your body here?” “Getting there, shouldn’t take long” she said. Gem nodded as she looked up in the sky. I took this chance to look over at Kiri. “So, wanna travel with us again for a bit?” I asked her. My little sister thought and then nodded, grinning as she did. “Sure, should be fun” she said. I nodded and pulled her into a gentle hug.
But this moment didn’t last as we heard a voice, mechanical and threatening behind us. “Perita-neequ, you and the rest here are under arrest. Come with me or I will use force” it said. We turned around and saw a robot standing there, with weapons pointed at us.
