Deep in the heart of an unexplored jungle, nestled in the heart of the untamed wilderness, lies a temple that has gone untouched for more than five hundred years, ruled by a young, beautiful and evil queen and her minions. Immortality is only fun for so long though, and with no new victims to run through her gauntlet she's grown bored and tired.
That's until two conniving explorers stumble across her keep, seeking fortune and glory by breaking into her treasure vault (let's face it, it wouldn't be an ancient ruin without a hoard in there somewhere, right?). Ren and Laura aren't too keen on being chucked into a gooey cauldron of sacrifice, so they hire three budding, intrepid explorers onto their team to do their dirty work, all while promising a cut of the gold should they happen to succeed.
But the devious queen, known only as Lilly, is as intelligent and cunning as she is mesmerising, and her gauntlet of gungy games and brutish underlings are not for the faint of heart...
Welcome to Monquehual!

For the longest time, I've wanted to get started on this story. After reading a story by the name of Citadel by
darknessfalls, I just had to do something of my own based off of it. In fact, if you haven't read that story yet (there's only one chapter, but it's pretty long and well worth it), then I'd highly suggest that you do that first.
Anyway, if Industrial Zone is The Crystal Maze meets Run the Risk, and Citadel is both of those with added Knightmare for good measure, then this is all of THAT with added Legends of the Hidden Temple. I've always had a deep fascination with exploring and jungle themes, so hopefully I can capture the essence of what makes those themes so loved and at the same time fill it with ludicrous helpings of slime.
What I have here is just a teaser; what one would consider to be the short introduction before the title sequence. The chapters that I'm planning will obviously be longer and have actual games and such in them, but this should hopefully let you know what sort of thing you're getting into.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy!

I'm honestly flattered that you'd want to base your own stuff on something I've done, and since mine was inspired by Industrial Zone, I can only pass credit to IronK for starting this whole ball rolling. (Or perhaps in Monquehual's case, 'boulder'? :P)
I think Ren deserved that. ;) Perhaps it'll cool him off? :P
