Late 2024: The Idol of Avarice goes missing.
This very nearly didn't happen, but I'm intensely glad it did. Another slight but significant change to Balina between her FS incarnation and her Dreamcatcher timeline: Kaylah was always Balina's savior from herself, but now rather than breaking her link to Kaiju, she got rid of the Idol, which Balina couldn't put down no matter how much she and it wanted to be separated. What precisely Kaylah did is unclear to everyone involved, but it's pretty obvious that it was a much bigger deal to Balina than it was to Kaylah.
