It was a fairly obvious plan. In order to track down Midnight Shadow in Hare's body, the group was going to need help. Everyone knew that Fenris and his wolves could track down the slightest spirit from miles away; all they needed was to deal with an angry, starving, half-mad wolf-god to borrow his nose for a few weeks.
In retrospect, making deals with an angry, starving, half-mad wolf-god might have a few unforeseen drawbacks.
This was a spur-of-the-moment commission to take advantage of a sale the artist had, but in many respects it's the single most important moment in the history of the character. This deal will certainly never turn out to have any unexpected consequences. Nope.
