So after seeing that some people might want to see my ideas that I may make into a series/novel, this is one of the two ideas that I've made. I'll likely upload the other in a little while, but for now this is my first idea.
I've always wanted to see some nice fur mech stuff, so I decided to try my hand at it, so I'd love to get your input on this. ^^
I hope you all enjoy, and I would love to get your input. =)
“Get out of the S-Tech, right now!” the police officer roared, his fur bristling as the robot moved through the high tech metropolis of Deylic city, and though the officer was honestly terrified of getting trampled by the machine he stayed his ground as it approached closer and closer. “Get out now!” he screamed into his mega-phone which amplified his voice to glass shattering levels, and it wasn’t until the mech was right in front of him that it slowed to a stop causing the bobcat to sigh in relief before straightening the hat on his head. “Alright, now get out of that S-Tech,” he said into his mega-phone, and for a moment there was no movement from the sterling silver machine before the front of it opened revealing a pair of young anthros.
“Come on, Officer Deck, we didn’t do anything wrong…” the wolf said, pouting in the chair as his weasel friend nodded rapidly.
“Yeah, we didn’t break nothin’,” the weasel said, and from the glare of the bobcat they both sighed as they clambered out of the S-Tech’s cockpit.
“You two are in a lot of trouble, but first of all… how were you two piloting the machine? Those pedals are far too far away for either of you to reach,” the cop said, curiously causing his whiskers to twitch.
“Well… Mart used the feet pedals while I steered,” the wolf proclaimed, looking quite proud of himself for hijacking the robot.
“Yeah, Dunkin guided me!” Mart giggled, the pair obviously far more proud than they should’ve been.
The cop grunted and grabbed both of them by their ears before guiding them to his car. “You two are going to be calling your parents and telling them what you did today,” he explained, while both of them were yelping in pain he glanced at the S-Tech and marveled for a moment at the military tech before dropping them both off into his car.

“How did you two even get your hands on a mech?!” Mart’s mother yelled, her fur riled up while she screamed at the boys.
“Well we were on a field trip and…” Dunkin murmured, but that didn’t seem to strike a very good cord with the pair’s mothers.
“No you weren’t! I called the principal of your school as soon as I heard about this whole incident, and according to him there was no field trip in the first place! I thought it was weird that the permission slip said we had to drive you,” Dunkin’s mom said, her ears standing tall in rage. Both mothers weren’t amused, and already the pair felt their immediate future would be full of a lot of cleaning and sucking up to their parents.
“Now we ask you boys again, how did you get a mech?” Mart’s mother asked, her eyes glaring right into her son’s who did his best to avoid them but it was impossible.
The pair mumbled a few things before both of their mothers shouted for them to tell the truth. “We slipped into the Tech lab, and saw that they had left one of the S-Techs open, so we thought it might be fun to pilot,” Dunkin explained, his tail low and his mother’s eyes blazing with ferocity as he explained.
“What possibly made you think that was a…” Her rant was cut off though as there was a knock on the door of the interrogation room, and they all looked over to see a fox in a lab coat stepping in along with a vixen who closed the door behind themselves.
“We’re sorry for interrupting,” the fox said, looking slightly nervous under the glare of the aggressive mothers.
The mothers glanced at one another for a moment before looking back to the pair of foxes. “What is it?” Mart’s mother asked, obviously annoyed that someone had broken in on their conversation with their children.
“We’re here to inquire about some information from your sons, if you don’t mind,” the vixen said, less intimidated than her scientist counterpart. The mothers did mind, but they really couldn’t stop their sons as they slipped around their mothers to stand in front of the pair.
“What’s up?” Mart asked, receiving a swat on the back of his head from his mother who was very proper about talking with other people. “I mean, how can we help you?” he asked, grimacing as his mother had no shame in embarrassing him in front of other people if not to teach him better manners.
“Well first of all this nervous wreck here is Trevor,” the vixen said, gesturing to the fox who shot her an annoyed glare.
“Hey I’m not a nervous wreck…” he muttered, but upon another look at the still angry mothers he quickly lowered his eyes once more to avoid their eyes.
“I’m Shani, and we’re from the military installation where you… acquired that S-Tech,” she said, and the boys lowered their eyes now embarrassed by the fact that they had stolen. “Now usually the government has a very strict policy about stealing from our military instalations, and that’s usually incarceration for life,” she said, and though the boys didn’t understand what she meant their mothers did as they gasped in shock.
“Y… you can’t… they’re just boys,” Mart’s mother said, Dunkin’s mother nodded in an attempt to push the point.
“Don’t worry, we’ve been told that there’s an alternative to that,” Trevor said, smiling slightly hoping that the news might calm the mother’s burning eyes, but when their eyes settled on him he still found the weight of their gaze crushing. “Um… S… Shani, can you tell them what it is?” he asked, practically cowering behind his partner.
The woman rolled her eyes as she stepped forward and showed the mothers a tablet. “The proposal is that we take these two into training for S-Tech piloting. We’ve been searching long and hard for good pilots for them, but we’ve found that adults are far too late to train into the proper mental and physical training for this project. Adults are able to only able to use the S-Techs to their bare functionality, but if we start early as these two have shown themselves capable of piloting one, we’re sure that we have have them by their adult years to be capable of being fully functional pilots,” Shani explained, flipping through displays on the tablet.
For the two young anthros they couldn’t say yes fast enough, but from the look on their mothers’ faces they weren’t nearly as excited with the proposition. “Isn’t there another way?” Mart’s mother asked, nervousness painted on her face. From the looks on the pairs’ faces though it was obvious that there wasn’t, and that fact alone put a lot of weight on the mothers’ backs. “You can’t just put us into this position… it’s not fair to us or to them!” the weasel shouted, Trevor jumped away from her just in case she decided he was her new punching bag.
“Mom,” Mart said, and she looked down to see both of the kids smiling up at her. “I’m okay with it, and Dunkin is too!” he said, and with a big grin both of them smiled at her causing tears to flow down her cheek.
“Can we do it, mom? It’d be so cool to pilot those things all the time!” Dunkin exclaimed, grinning at his own mom who was taking it as well at Mart’s.
“Dandra, can we choose any other way?” Mart’s mom asked, looking imploringly at the wolf.
Dandra was quiet for a moment as she took a deep breath and wiped away a tear. “Mel, I don’t think we do…” she said, trying to sound as stable as she possibly could. “Alright, but you have to promise that we can see them whenever we want,” she said, making the words into an order, and not a question.
“That’s fair,” Shani said, and she quickly had the mothers sign on the tablet. “Alright, we’ll be taking the boys to the facility where they’ll be training. We’ll be giving you the directions within a week, but until then we need to get these two through the orientation process.”
The mothers nodded before kneeling next to their kids. “Alright, you two be safe, and listen to whatever they say,” Mel said, wiping away an imaginary smirch from Mart’s face.
“Don’t sass anybody either,” Dandra said, sucking in her breath as she patted down a hair on top of his head much to the young wolf’s annoyance.
“Alright, it’s time to go boys,” Shani said, and the pair waved goodbye to their mothers before being led away by the foxes.
“I swear to god if they try to hurt them…” Dandra said, wiping away another tear before they both left from the station towards their respective houses to await the message with their sons’ location.

“Whoooaaaa…” both kids said, their jaws gaping as they looked up in amazement at the monstrosity of a machine before them. The S-Tech paled in comparison to this robot, and if they were to measure it up against the S-Tech it would barely reach this machine’s waist. “What is that?!” Mart asked, pointing at the machine.
Shani chuckled to herself as Trevor was still unwinding from the angry glare of the mothers. “That, boys, is a M-Tech. The S in S-Tech, actually stands for small. The M-Tech as I’m sure you can imagine, is the Medium Tech.”
“Does that mean there’s an even bigger one?!” Dunkin asked, his eyes larger with shock and amazement. Shani just merely smiled and looked out the window as their jeep drove through the military hanger. During the ride Mart and Dunkin had fallen asleep as they were both exhausted from a long day of being yelled at by both the police, and their moms. They had awoken just in time to see the Tech hanger, and had they known that this wasn’t even the largest hanger they likely would’ve fainted from the sheer splendor and size of some of the other Techs.
Their jeep pulled around the large hanger as scientists, technicians, and welders were working tirelessly to get diagnostics and other processes done for the mechs. “We’re here,” Trevor said, breaking his nervous silence as they pulled up in front of a very important looking man in a rather impressive looking suit.
The four piled out of the jeep as the man stepped up to meet them. “Shani, Trevor, boys,” he said, bowing his head to each of them as they stepped out of the truck.
“Sergeant Dram, we weren’t expecting to see you until we’ve arrived at the station,” Shani said, the rabbit just bowed his head.
“To be honest, I wasn’t planning on coming down here, but some of the technicians made a few mistakes on the parts so I had to come and make sure that everything was running smoothly. It just so happened that my arrival here coincided just before your departure,” he said, smiling at the boys for a moment. “So these two are our new trainees?”
“Yup,” Dunkin said, grinning up at the rabbit. “Though I didn’t think a bunny would be working a job like this,” he pointed out, the sergeant blushed slightly much to the amusement of Trevor and Shani who both clammed up as he looked at them.
“I’m not a bunny, I’m a rabbit, and I’m in charge of a lot of important things,” he said, chuckling to himself as he saw that Dunkin was looking a bit guilty that he had gotten the sergeant laughed at. “Don’t worry though, I never thought I’d get this far either though,” he admitted, patting Dunkin on the head.
“Sir, what do you mean by departure?” Mart asked, curious as he thought they had already arrived at their intended destination.
“I forgot that you two are smarter than you look,” Shani said, scratching her head. “I mean you two did trick your parents into bringing you to a military installation…” she muttered, looking away for a moment before sighing. “We’re only halfway to where we’re going.”
“Where are we going then?” Dunkin asked, frowning as he remembered that their moms still wanted to come visit them, and they shouldn’t go too far away.
“Up,” Trevor said, and they looked at him in confusion. “Up in this,” he said, pulling his tablet out of his pocket and revealing to the pair a spaceship.
The two blanched in shock as they realized that they weren’t going just anywhere, but going into space. “Si… sir… our moms…” Mart said, feeling scared now that he realized they were leaving far more than just their normal lives behind.
“They’ll be able to visit you whenever they want through our special system we’ve set up here for communication between earth and the station you two will be staying at,” Shani explained, showing them on Trevor’s tablet a set of monitors that had microphones next to them.
Looking at one another nervously, Mart and Dunkin gulped before nodding. “Alright…” they said, scared of leaving earth, but an excitement that they couldn’t deny was building up as they imagined flying around in a Tech in space.
“We’ll be leaving in just a little while, but so you two won’t feel too sick we have some medicine for you to take in the infirmary. Come along,” Shani said, guiding the pair through a door and into a gray looking hall.
Trevor started behind them, but was stopped by the Sergeant. “Didn’t you tell me that the mothers relinquished all rights?” he asked, his ears rigid as he looked at the fox.
Gulping in fear Trevor looked away as he clenched his paw. “They relinquished all rights… but they don’t know that. They didn’t read over the tablet, all we promised them was that we’d allow them to see their kids whenever they want.”
For a moment Sergeant Dram’s grip became painful on the fox’s arm, but he let go after a deep sigh. “Fair enough, but you’ll have to tell the mothers the truth sooner or later, but I’ll approve of their contact with the kids. Though if at any point the mothers become an interference with their training…”
“I know,” Trevor said, and slipped out of the Sergeant’s grip before walking down the hall putting a half-baked attempt at a smile as he walked into the infirmary where the kids were downing a nasty mix of medication prepared so they wouldn’t feel the ill-effects of space travel. While the pair started to drink down some water to wash away the foul taste of the medicine Trevor pulled Shani aside. “The Sergeant said that if the boy’s mothers become a problem at any point in the training we have to cut off contact,” he muttered, careful not to speak too loud for the boys to hear.
For a moment Shani didn’t say anything before closing her eyes and nodding. “I figured, but I hoped that this whole thing might’ve been avoided…”
“Yeah,” Trevor said, and the pair folded their arms as the boys were informed what they might experience during the flight towards the station. “Do you think there could’ve been another way?” he asked, curious about the answer that the mother might’ve received.
His coworker looked at the kids for a moment with a glazed look in her eyes before she shrugged. “To be honest I really don’t know… I’m sure the answer would’ve been no from our superiors, as these two have proven themselves capable of piloting an S-Tech, and there are a lot of people who would use kids like this to further their own goals.”
Biting his lip, Trevor looked at her with pain in his eyes. “Isn’t that what we’re doing?” he hissed, careful not to let any medical staff hear him. Shani didn’t answer though as it looked like she had been thinking the same thing, but to acknowledge the fear would be too much for her to handle when they were dealing with such impressionable kids.
Finally being let off of the table by the medical assistant, the boys ran over to meet Shani and Trevor with smiles. “We’re ready,” they piped up, knocking both of the adults out of their reveries.
“Alright, well let’s go get suited up, and then we’ll be ready to get going towards the station,” Trevor said, finally picking himself up after his long and nervous silence. It was obvious that the question that had been weighing on Shani’s mind had been pressing far more on Trevor than she had thought, which explained it all.
“How long will it take for us to get to the station?” Mart asked, curiosity filling up his furry face.
Shani and Trevor chuckled as they knew that the kid would likely be asking “Are we there yet” sooner or later, and they both exchanged a look before smiling. “Three days,” they said, much to the horror of the kids as they realized how long they would be on the ship.
“But that’s gonna take foooreeever…” Dunkin whined, the wolf folding his arms in annoyance as he kicked at the ground.
“Don’t worry, we have plenty of movies and games on the ship. Three days in space pass a lot faster than on earth,” Shani said, patting Dunkin on his shoulder before they walked into the dressing room.
***
Dunkin pouted as he sat on the spaceship; Shani had lied, three days in space felt longer than on earth. Mart had been annoyed at first, but when he found a video game his eyes had become glued upon the screen, and he had yet to whine since they were fed regularly. “Shaannnii…” Dunkin whined, slapping his tail on the floor. Any homesickness had quickly faded to excitement of going into space, and then even that excitement faded to annoyance as he had quickly grown bored of the toys and games that had been offered.
Shani was in the process of laying back in a chair with a magazine over her eyes, but she wasn’t sleeping, the vixen had learned quickly that the children needed far more attention than she wanted to give. That’s what Trevor was for, and he filled the role of nanny very well so far. “Dunkin, what is it?” he asked, leaning over the wolf.
“When are we going to get there?” he asked, his face set in a very pinched up pout. “I thought Shani said it would be fast!”
Glancing at his watch he quickly figured out the time it would take, and smiling at Dunkin patted the young pup on the head. “It shouldn’t take another thirty minutes,” he said, and the pup looked up at his suspiciously.
“Are you telling me the truth?” he asked, and Trevor nodded. “Okay…” he said, and glanced out the window as they got close to the station.
Standing up and walking back to where Shani sat, Trevor took a seat as she slid her sleeping mask off of her eyes. “Thirty minutes?” she asked, and when he nodded she stood up and stretched. “Alright, well we’d better prepare for entry. There’s going to be a lot of getting used to the station’s gravity again.”
Trevor nodded, and as his stare went outside of the ship Shani frowned at him. “I hope we aren’t going to make a mess for these two,” he said, and Shani didn’t know how to answer, so she just set her paw on his shoulder and squeezed before heading into the back to get dressed. Their three day trip had finally ended, and the station was in sight.

Biting his lip, Trevor looked at her with pain in his eyes. “Isn’t that what we’re doing?” he hissed, careful not to let any medical staff hear him.

Moar!!!!!! This is really good. Any publishers in mind? Oh one more thing. You should make it more obvious we're in a furry world. There should be more noting the changes in ear position, tail position and behavior should mirror the animal traits more. I still loved it in its current form and would love to see you complete this book. It's cute.
