buzz and walden as children
i have some stories to tell about some of these.
first we have a cute little wally and a little buzz who loves dinos as you can see by his shirt and likes to play with sticks ("no my nose is not a stick!")
then we have a short (true) story for buzz with the laundry basket:
buzz was over at someone's house who his mom was trying to impress and amidst grown up conversation buzz decided to do the things he enjoyed doing at home, which was make traps to catch things. he spotted this strange woman's laundry basket and began setting up. when the mother of the house stopped talking to buzz's mom long enough to notice the strange behavior, she asks buzz what he's doing. buzz's mom cringes as buzz answers honestly, "i'm making a trap for your cat!"
needless to say the visit was pretty short after that.
next is a cute walden wanting his bear to get equal treatment.
far right features a slightly older walden on the swings after little buzz moves away and comes back. they meet each other again and uh oh, attraction.
the middle is something i don't think many people will know about, but hopefully some will recognize it. in my childhood we just called it the cheese holes. it was at the playground and you could climb in it. giant (to children) cement/rock cylinders with holes throughout and an open top. it was like a great big sturdy sandcastle to climb to the top and claim and also set up camp within.
as shown below, buzz allows walden to play with him as long as he stops his cryin'.
buzz shows him how to climb to the top of the cheese holes. they become fast friends.
