This gentleman (being an Indian peacock, not one of the wonderful green Javanese breeds, where the females are also astonishingly decorated), is an Art Nouveau fellow fashioned after the art of Aubrey Beardsley.
From Wikipedia: Aubrey Beardsley was the most controversial artist of the Art Nouveau era, renowned for his dark and perverse images and the grotesque erotica, which were the main themes of his later work.
