This is my owl, mostly leaded up! the top curves are going to have glass to form a square as I have worked out that I do not have time to work out how to bend my edge lead perfectly to follow them (it is very much thicker and would ripple quite easily).
For extra verisimilitude, you can see the blood stains around the beak. I didn't work out I was bleeding for a while, which is common in glasswork, since most of the cuts are painless. Of course, once you find them they instantly hurt.
This was a good few hours work, but I have done the worst of it! The claws at the bottom were horrible and may well be very difficult to solder. I knew they would be. I am feeling more positive about it all now as it is coming together and beginning to look like a real work of art.
