So, like a number of my commissions, this has a story behind it...
Nack when I commissioned http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11192770/ from
Wolfkidd over a year ago, he made a comment about how he'd done a torch singer outfit for
Anri before as well, mostly due to the 'Tikki Torch' pun. (Such as http://www.furaffinity.net/view/149008/ .) Tikki being an occasionally giant goth mink that I've known for... well, not as long as I've known Wolf, but still a long time.
Naturally, I asked Tikki if we could do a duet. And if we're doing a show, well, might as well make it a show for everyone to remember.
The title came when somebody asked what song they were singing. After a number of suggestions, including 'Original Sin' which ended up getting played in stream, the squirrel DJ Haley ( see http://www.furaffinity.net/view/12979705/ ) ended up suggesting 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough', given they were using a streetlamp as a microphone stand...

Hey! My singing isn't that bad. And being able to pull off a vibrato drone effect by purring while singing adds another dimension to it.
(RL, was actually in a touring choir for a while. And I've actually seen people do their own harmony by singing falsetto while holding the mike up to the throat to pick up a low drone. Well, I've seen one person do it, anyway: Bobby McFerrin.)

I'd love to share with you one particular song I've sung and recorded using my microphone equipment sometime, Jenora; I used a karaoke (no lyrics sung) version of Dianne Warren's Faith Of The Heart, the full-length version eventually used for Star Trek: Enterprise's credits back in 2001, sung by Russell Watson. I recorded my singing back in the spring of 2021, using my Samson G-Track Pro USB microphone and multitrack composition in Adobe Audition.

By the way, I finally got to meet Tikki- or the current incarnation of her fursona- when I got more involved in the FWG Discord server and more recently on the Rose Garden (Korps) server where I was vetted for invitation two weeks ago, wherein she told me she'd seen me frequently on TapestriesMUCK under an alt I did not know was her since I joined Taps in 2006. She told me she'd never been close with other Toronto Furries, or at least not in as large or closely intimate a group setting, like the Trap Line BBS users did at the time.
