I realized I haven't posted a single picture of my first Sheltie ever, Travis. I was only 8 years old when we got him. He lived such a short life, he got hit by a car when he was only a year and a half. But during that year and a half I learned what true love was. I had never had a dog, and Travis taught me what unconditional love really was. We played basketball together, and he howled when I cried. He never left my side, he chose me over the my Mom or Dad. I still miss him to this day. Some time later we got our Sheltie Pepper, who was his brother, from the exact same parents. So he lived on in Pepper for many more years.
See where I got the one ear up and one ear flopped idea originally? Ironic all our other shelties had the same thing!
Love you Travis <3

I know that feeling of sheer loyalty with a dog... mine was Shep, a Belgian shepherd. He would follow me EVERYWHERE I went, no matter what. He'd growl at others if they tried to instigate or harass me... which rarely ever happened anyways, but still. He was an old dog who passed due to natural causes, but he was such a wonderful companion. I know the feeling you feel about your dear Travis all too well! I once had a G.shep named Muttley who was murdered by a drunken whore nearby a local neighboring winery... the smartest dog I've ever known - God rest his soul... :(
Yours appeared to be quite a fine pooch! This is a wonderful capture. :)
