I've had this character for quite some time, but never put her on paper before this.
I normally don't like creating assassin characters since I think they're a bit... overdone. And I honestly don't find them as "cool" as many other people seem to (If you like them, great! Personally, I just find other types of characters more interesting). However, I created Tirya here for two reasons.
1. As a crime lord, Cylor would most definitely have a personal assassin at his disposal, so it makes total sense.
2. I always wanted to create a character inspired by Deadly Little Miho (of Sin City fame), since she's one of my favorite characters from one of my all time favorite movies.
Going to see the New Sin City this weekend made me want to finally draw this character. >_<
Like Cylor, Tirya is almost completely stark white in color. Unlike Cylor, however, she is not "albino".
She does have a few modifications that most J'warril don't have. She tattooed her nose and pawpads black, as J'warril only normally have pink skin. She also wears hair extensions as they don't have human-like hair either.
There are rumors going around that she and Cylor were once lovers.
Side note: "Chryser" is the destroyed city in the Alderia sector where Cylor has set up his casino.
Tools Used: Photoshop version CS4, Paint Tool Sai
Time Taken: Unrecorded
Soundtrack: "The Hard Goodbye" - Sin City OST

Well, she doesn't look like an assassin if that helps. She could be just as well be an adventurer or duellist.
... which is the part I will never understand Assassin's Creed. In each game the assassin looks so out of place, that any surviving witnesses should be able to describe him well, so that any guard would recognize him at once. Yeah, it's game magic, but still. I might play it someday, but I won't understand that.
And yes, assassin's are overdone. Especially as people forget waht they do. They kill people. Sometimes for money, sometimes for their own goals. The few 'heroic' assassins don't make up for the rest. What people usually forget when making an assassin character is, that he is not cool because he is an assassin, but because of what he went through to redeem himself. If he hasn't that, he is just another murderer.
I recently read a good chunk of the old Thive's World books again. In all these stories what stck a tone with me? The on scene were the young thief Shadowspawn kills for the first time. He grew up in one if not the worst city that world has to offer and still he felt disgusted by actually killing someone.
The scene was enhanced by the fact that the one he rescued, who is also the near immortal avatar of a war god, has pity for the young man. A centuries old avatar of a war god feels pity for a young man for having to go through how it is to have killed for the first time.
BTW, if you like Miho, read: Sin City Family Values.
She stars prominently in it and the ending is a killer. Don't peek ahead. You'll only understand the full depth of the title and the reveil in the end if you have read through it. Oh, and Dwight McCarthy is in is the other main character.
