"Don't mess with a dragon."
Jacob was born different, but that's what happens when your father takes regular joyrides into alternate realms. One night in the realm of dragons resulted in Jacob's creation. He was born with the body of a human but the blood of a dragon, granting him speed and agility beyond even the most steroid ingesting jock at his high school, and, of course, the power to summon fire at will.
Jacob has an affinity for flair, never quite understanding why superheroes rely on secret identities. He made it very clear to his friends and family what he is and what he's capable of doing. Unfortunately, this got him on ATHENA's radar, and the radars of many other supervillains out there who saw his unbreakable nature as a threat, especially after a scuffle with one of his teachers resulted in the destruction of the school's cafeteria.
It was far too late for him to form a superhero identity, so Jacob signed on with ATHENA for protection and proper training. Now he readily volunteers for diplomatic missions to other realms, in the hopes of someday reuniting with his mother.
