"Death is a force of nature. You cannot control it, just as you cannot control a hurricane or a blizzard. Unfortunately for you, I can."

Beneath the ice of St. Petersberg, ATHENA scavengers recovered the remains of a young girl. Anastasia Romanov, the surviving Tsar, had been found.

To fill in the events of history untold, ATHENA set to work on Project Kronos, with the body of Anastasia as their first test subject. After years of tests and billions of dollars worth of equipment, a solution was discovered that would lead to the resurrection of the girl. Nanomachines were deployed into her body, cleansing her of ice and frost, restarting her heart and brain, and bringing her back to life.

The project was only partially successful, however. In addition to only having a single arm, Anastasia awoke with no memory of who she was before she died. To compensate, ATHENA kept her contained in their facilities, educating her about the life she once had, and the world she has been brought into. She was understandably offset, but still listened and went along with ATHENA diligently, as she has no reason to distrust them. She even grew to like them for all they taught her about the world.

One day it was made known to Anastasia that ATHENA would continue Project Kronos, only with a more ambitious endgame. They intended on resurrecting many more historical figures, from Benjamin Franklin to Adolf Hitler. While ATHENA saw the long term effects as beneficial, Anastasia only saw more broken people brought into a time they wouldn't belong to, even if their memories were kept intact.

Anastasia equipped herself with a cybernetic arm and escaped the ATHENA facilities. When under attack, she discovered that the nanomachines in her body were within her control, and had long since taken in the ice which had once imprisoned her. She could create ice and snow with merely a finger twitch.

Now Anastasia is on the run, having taken on the name 'Khione,' after her favorite Greek goddess. While she has no intention of compromising the company who raised her from the dead, she plans on simply ending Project Kronos. She has a list of the people responsible for starting the project, and she plans on sending them to a frozen grave, just as where she once resided, and wishes she had remained.
