I didn't have the energy today to draw or work in Lightwave, so I played with Apophysis some more to learn more about how the 3D features work. After playing with it a bit, I am really impressed with the people who can make perspective view 3D landscapes with it. I'm still just figuring out the 3D part of it. This came about while playing with the 3D features.

Thanks. I wish that I could say that this was deliberate, but it was not. I was actually trying to create a very different effect (I was originally trying to create a jagged mountain), but this is what came out in the end. Despite this looking very 3D, it's still about 60% illusion of density and the gradient positioning that I used. Aside from the conical depression for the crater and pitch "camera" positioning, everything else is just illusion. I'm still trying to figure out how to combine multiple geometric elements and multiple copies of elements, which you seem to have a talent for. I am starting to think that there are certain things that you simply can't do without using scripts, but I am figuring new things out day by day, so maybe I'll find a way.
