Now. I'll say this upfront before clothing / fashion fanatics start writing comments without reading all of this post. A calico dress is usually a knee-length or longer dress that is often made of multi-color pieces of fabric but not always. It is often what a people think when they imagine "Little house on the Prairie". Rosemary is obviously not wearing one of those, but since she is holding a Calico M950 pistol, and she is wearing sweet little red cocktail dress it is another one of my puns. This was the final piece I finished for A/C and it will be in the artshow this weekend. Sigh, someday I want to make it back again to that con! Had lots of fun there.

I do love her dress, its a lovely shiny colour of red, her hair is good, and her tail looks so long and huggable ^^ I wouldn't want to be on the recieveing end of her anger though ^^

Well I've grown up with an interest in firearms, although my really didn't approve at the time, but my father had been an ordnance man in the US Navy and one of our close neighbors owned the local gun shop.
As far as reference library I have been collecting printed material for over twenty years and my digital reference for firearms alone is easily over 60,000 images. It is an ongoing project but I've been trying to build a comprehensive multi-view history of firearms from earliest hand-cannon to the latest developments in small arms design. It is a project that I will never truly finish but I've learned so much about the topic while doing my research.
As far as reference library I have been collecting printed material for over twenty years and my digital reference for firearms alone is easily over 60,000 images. It is an ongoing project but I've been trying to build a comprehensive multi-view history of firearms from earliest hand-cannon to the latest developments in small arms design. It is a project that I will never truly finish but I've learned so much about the topic while doing my research.
Oh wow, a Calico 9mm pistol! I had the rifle version and it was a pain in the ass to clean.
Also, the trigger was wonky. I wound up selling it.
I still have my .22 Calico rifle with folding metal stock, that's a fine plinker.
But there's something wrong with both magazines, the springs won't tension up.
I need to repair them.
The Calico 9mm pistol with 50-round magazine is in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 videogame as one of the pistols for the Assault Class.
When I saw it in the trailer and gameplay videos, I bounced in my chair with glee! It's full-auto and just hoses down on the target!
