____________________________________I love the lighting in this page. I also added scales a little as if they are reflecting the light.
The first time you see these guys almost in their true colors and not tinted red or blue. They're tinted with white though, to make them pop and glow.
Also, Ruskaer isn't smiling. He has a ":/" face, this is him smiling: http://sta.sh/0ipdsy429jf I'm not sure if there is a thought that he is smiling. :U

I'mma commenting here on FA for a change. :P
*reaches out and pulls Rusk's cheeks up into a smile* XD How often does he smile, generally? Iyress here kinda reminds me of a religious speaker... "Follow me, follow the truth" etc. Is this their first time that they (Rusk and Tyg) have ever seen natural sunlight?
About their appearances... I like how you draw scales. they add an interesting feature to the dragons' 'skin'. The fact that they appear along the stickey-outey ridges of their facial features and the parts of their bodies facing the light (where the light hits the brightest) draws attention to the contrast between the shaded and lit-up areas of their bodies. The scales are also kinda opaque and lightly-drawn enough so that they don't appear 'too' strongly and distract from the dragon's overall appearance.
Their colours makes them look so striking and pretty haha, with sun illuminating them better... the royals should be put on trial for denying everyone their beautiful colourful shiny sunlit appearances. :P

Rusk likes to smile but he's pretty nervous considering he's following a fugitive of the kingdom right now basically. xD But yeah, it's the first time they've seen sunlight - as far as the reader knows at this point, only Ruskaer, Tygressa, and Iyress have seen any natural sunlight in millions of years. I also did go for a religious speaking kind of sound with Iyress, mostly to build up tension but also to show that there really is a whole other world out there that was taken from'em
Thanks for the comment about the scales, I'm really glad they give the desired effect! Makes the extra effort I put into drawing the buggers much more worth it :)
xD Indeed, everyone's shiny colors are beautiful! :D It's nice to have them in natural lighting too rather than fire-lit or blue-crystal-lit - it makes the comic so much brighter and less depressing to draw
