If you can get hold of a full plate number and bribe a friend who's a cop (or how ever you get access). You can basically track down the person's legal profile with names, addresses, criminal records and residency.

Even though most likely nobody here would do that but at the end it's other people's cars and they don't have to be exposed either way.

The much bigger Problem on showing a registert plate number in the Internet is that criminals can copy the plate and use it. They just take an car put the copied plate on it and do something and then you got the Problem . This method is often used for Fuel theft on Petrol stations (Tankdiebstähle) or small robberies . Beside that we got a City-tag on the car-plates in Germany so you can roughly localize the owners city.
