This drawing is actually really old.
I never uploaded it because my scanner was dead :C
It's still dead btw
This is actually a photo of the drawing :3 (Edited a little in photoshop though )
I LIKE DRAWING TRADITIONALLY SOOO MUCH MORE THAN DRAWING DIGITALLY
But it's so much harder to make it look pretty D:
Aaaaand the quality will be crappy if you don't have a working scanner xD

Very beautiful and archaic I may say. I like the wet diorama that has been instilled unto it by the use of watercolours. It creates the illusion of something simple, yet elegant. Not to mention that the way you used this style made for a very efficient emphasis of the main character, the focus of your drawing in contrast to the background and the figurative personages.
In my opinion, I would say that the background may have deserved to be caressed by a little more attention. A bit more details wouldn't be detrimental, but I guess that would prove a distraction from the epicenter of the drawing, the character, right?
I appreciate the way you drew the main character, the artist. She came out rather beautiful, exuding a mark of fragility and endearing honesty from her facial expression that is most often idiosyncratic to someone who is earnest by nature and good willing. Characters of such nature would have been in high demand in the age you ( I assume ) alluded to. The green eyes are washed, and serene, reminds me of the tranquility of nature. Her body features ( fur colour and such ) mix well with her clothing, clothing which I perceive to see as ragged and tattered, implying an artist that lives for passion. ( Do correct me if I am wrong, please )
Furthermore, allow me to inquire: Did you happen to imagine a certain age here, such as the Baroque or Renaissance? I am inclined to associate this with one of the two.
Anyway, I like it. My commendations.

Thank you so much for this feedback!
I really appreciate that you took the time to write such a big comment :)
I agree that I should have paid more attention to the details in the background.. Next time I'll do a drawing like this I'll try my best to put more care in the background without losing focus for the main object. :p
And thank you! I'm glad you interpreted the artist like that. A lot of what you say about her is true and what I intended her to appear like. The clothing was meant to look a little worn but more in a artsy and casual way. She does have a lot of passion for what she loves..
I wasn't really thinking about a certain age while making this. But I feel honored that you associate this with one of the two because I really like those styles c:
Maybe it gives off that Renaissance feel because it's like a portrait and portraits were very common in the renaissance. And maybe also due to the church towers in the background?
Thanks again for your comment, I am very glad you like it
