While enjoying my lunch today, I glanced up and saw a silhouette on my back porch screen. I snuck out with my cell phone and took a quick happy snap of the little fellow, which is in fact a cicada.
I didn't want to get too close, as the fellow was probably hiding from the Dragonfly Combat Air Patrol.
Maybe 3/4 inch long, minus the wings.
