I always figured that tiny unconscious slivers of Nicky's past self keep feeding dribbles of information, such as how to discreetly endear yourself with people. Whether or not Nicky knows exactly what they're doing or WHY it has the effect it does, not all of the charm needs to be accidental nor with specific intent~

Plus Nicky wouldn't be Nicky without constantly causing adorable and awkward misunderstandings~

Daniel's blood has been tainted by insane dark forces from the Otherwordl. duh. we saw it when he and 10-C encountered Merigoth or whatever her name is. Daniel is going insane and acting as a doorway to release things from some sort of otherdimensional prison, to which even Secretin exiled himself to. when Nicky fed from Daniel, she must have gained some sort of access to his insane mind, and thus this time she is coming into contact with those dark forces....
