My half of a trade with
MoonFae
Moonfae's Fuse, a sergal who collects bird feathers for jewelry, I love her design, with those giant sergal legs and neck... I love my first picture of her, completely different subject, but fucked up royally in the painting stage and had to throw it out
IF you're on a branch with her, this might be a good time to reevaluate your life <3 Not that she's gonna eat her, but she's gonna fly funny for a few days.
Watercolors, 4"x7"ish

I've just been in Montclair, funnily enough... Will's graduation ^^" Just got back to Chicago to resume a futile job hunt! So I'm worn out and will be even more so in future (blushes)
We've an old, loungey Sergal in the Lincoln Park Zoo, I was sorta thinking of her as I drew this - but yeah, lanky cats are the coolest!
For laughs, the original sketch was of her wearing a peacock feather in her ear, and kinda looking at it like, "Yeah, this is too much." X3

You know that thing where the high school buses parade through town? Me and some mutual relatives were headed back from dinner when we hear the parade start - we just barely catch the school buses after running back, but then Will turns out to be on the right side of the bus just as it's stopped at a red light, so his uncle Jim and I managed to give him mid-bus high-fives during the parade itself. >u<
I have a test run at a custard shop tomorrow afternoon, wish me luck! I'm so nervous...
She had to put it in before she noticed it looks less like a test of big-feather strength and more like a frou-frou cabaret thing. Hehe, nice going! If I remember anything from the RPGs we used to play, he does have a talent for names... thank god he gave up "Vinny Conundrum," who presumably fucking blends.

Forgot to ask, how was Seattle? Eat any good seafood, do anything fun?
(The only time I was there, I was with a grandparent who dislikes seafood, so I was deprived of the absolute best seafood in the North American continent... I regret that deeply. How does it taste?)

Aw.. glad you caught him! Haha. It was nice! Visited my grandparents a lot because my sister just left for the peacecorps for 2 years and she wanted to see them. I actually really dislike seafood but I know that Seattle has really good fish! (Especially salmon!) X3 The fresh fruit and crumpets at Pike Place Market are amazing -drools-
Good luck with the custard! I'm sure it went great =w=

Glad you had fun and saw them! And wish your sister good luck for me, ubi proficiscibis! (I'll always remember that word, "to set forth," since my teacher's mnemonic was "Proficiscor as in Peace Corps.")
For when you go back, there was this unbelievably good Tibetan buffet just a block or two east of the Pike Place entrance. And yes, I had the crumpets too, they're amazing!
The best part about Pike Place is how unpretetiously good it is. It doesn't call attention to itself, it just has the biggest and tastiest selection of everything in the world. It's like being in an RPG and buying supplies for your quest. "Fish in a bottle? Eh, why not."
And I'm sorry to hear that... you like Sushi, at least? Or smoked eel? I'm too dutch to comprehend a world where seafood isn't a magical wonderland.
I forgot I mentioned that bit about the job custard, and now my mind drifts back to the can of Devon Ambrosia in the pantry, that I bought for a Dr. Who club, and didn't eat when my friend welshed on the fish fingers... I must eat that for good luck <3
