Most of the animals at the local zoo are rescues who were injured and were unable to be re-released. This poor fellow apparently was on the wrong end of a shotgun at one point, he had 2 shotgun pellets in the neck and one in the head, close enough to the eye he lost sight in it. The zoo does the best they can for the animals, this guy apparently does quite well despite the lack of vision.
