Didn't know the Nazis were working on a night fighter version of the Ho-229. The more you know! Also, the method to get rid of a Ho-229 would most likely be to slow down below it's stall speed. Apparently flying wings of that time period REALLY didn't like stalling. As in, flip over backwards the second they stalled.
Did you know that Jack Northrop looked into a flying wing fighter concept for the US? Only one prototype was made, and it only flew once if I recall correctly. It was known as the XP-79 if memory serves correctly. It's bigger, bomber brother, the XB-49 was the aircraft that showed off one of the disadvantages of flying wings at the time. They were dangerously unstable, flipping end over end backwards when they stalled.
