I really wanted to draw some straight up science fiction/space opera... since it is by far my first love and I feel like it's been far too long. Plus I've had the sketch for this picture on my computer for almost a year now, so I decided to pull it up and finish it.
Cero is a character that I've had in my head for a looong time. I just had quite a bit of difficulty getting his likeness down (not helped by the fact that I have difficulty drawing Asian eyes). I always pictured him looking a little bit like Grant Imahara from Mythbusters.
By trade, he is a privateer (legal pirate) employed by the Ultimarian Emperor. He's scheduled to play a big part in my later stories.
