The Imperial stormtroopers were the evolution of the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. By the end of the Clone Wars in 19 BBY, the Galactic Republic was reorganized into the first Galactic Empire. As a result, the Grand Army was reformed into the Stormtrooper Corps and the clones were renamed "stormtroopers."
referenced from... http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Stormtrooper in case you were wondering.
"Having made The Clone Wars and now working with Stormtroopers in Rebels, I would say that a Clone trooper could outgun a Stormtrooper rather easily. A Clone trooper was bred, born, raised to be a soldier. Lucky for them, the Jedi gave them a lot of personality, but they were very dedicated soldiers. Stormtroopers are drafted into service; you can join through academies. If you watch A New Hope they stand around and say, ‘Hey, you seen the new BT-16?’ They seem interested in their job but you question their dedication. They’re treated as expendable by the Empire, and they definitely can’t shoot anything.
When Obi Wan says, ‘Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise’, I think he’s making that up on the fact that he used to fight with clones, so he assumes that a Stormtrooper is really good. Much to his shock those guys can’t hit an R2 unit in a naked hallway, let alone be precise. So I like Stormtroopers, I find them very interesting. The Stormtroopers have better gear, better weapons in a lot of ways but it’s just a different war they are fighting than the Clone troopers’ was."

i think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. The earliest referience i can find to stormtroopers being clones dates to about 1977/1978. However, over the years this seems to have become a full blow arguement with no real answer. hm... this argument, its forced me to really dig deep for evidence, got to love having access to university databases for "real" research. :D
I have also found a magazine called, World of Star Wars : a compendium of
fact and fantasy from Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.
This is what it had to say about the Imperial Stormtrooper.

"ORIGIN
The creation of an Imperial Stormtropper. A cloned man is one of a group of
genetically identical humans, an assembly-line product. He is a thinking
man, but he serves a specific purpose and no other. A clone has no
mother; only his trainers, and he accepts his fate because he believes
it is inevitable. A clone is, physically and emotionally, a normal man.
He simply has no human rights and no name. He is the property of the
Emperor. Soldires fully formed in the growth tanks quickly proved
impractical. Scientists found themselves the befuddled fathers of
one hundred sixty pound blubbering idiots. A fetus is now removed
from the hatchery after a gestation peiord of sixty weeks and is delivered
immediately into the hands of its trainers."
however, i've also read proof that says you might be right too, since teh cannon could have changed. i dont know.... hm... ahh starwars!

Yeah I do remember seeing the thing about the magazine, but the thing is it talked about the creation, yes the clone troopers were the ones to start everything, they did the hard work to get palpatine what he wanted, and then when the time came, he needed money for the death star, so he stopped the clone program and took in recruits to save money. The clone troopers never got along with the stormtroopers cause they thought they were stupid. By the time of A new hope not a clone was in active duty, just training the stormtroopers. And now everything has been whipped out of the EU and now the only canon is the movies. The only clone voice we heard was boba, not a single stormtrooper was given the voice over by lucas.
plus you cant rely on Wookipeada anymore cause anybody can change info and the EU is gone and all.
