I just completed my first foam Tooney Fur Suit.
I really love the way it turned out.
With the help of the idea from Jorinda, I decided to make a Gazzelle.
Fur Suit Head with:
- Machine & hand sewn fur,
- Detachable Antlers (for travel) – held on with medium magnets & velcrose
- Foam Base,
- Plastic & Fabric eyes
- Lined,
- Balaclava attached inside,
- Hand molded laytex nose,
- Hand molded & painted sculpy teeth & tongue,
- Hand painted fur,
- Hidden zipper in back
- Moving Jaw
- Head size 22-24 inches
- Ventilation through mouth and nose.
I made a polyester filled soft tail and I tried my first hoofs made of hand molded latex & fur.
I have made an outfit to go with the partial fur suit.
I made the pattern for the shirt & tunic from a cross between the main character from Zelda and a peasant man’s clothing.

I used an elastic rigging that I made.
A piece of elastic goes under the edge of the chin and around the back of the top of the head.
It is attached to another piece of elastic that goes around the forehead.
The rigging keeps the jaw closed and the force of your chin opens it.
The rigging is attached to the inside of the Fursuit head.
Also, there are pieces of elastic attaching the lower jaw to the upper on the outside.
Finally, I embedded a piece of plastic into the foam of the lower jaw to make it more rigid.
