Feels good to get some drawing done. ^-^
Inspired by the various 'Godzilla vs. Cthulhu' drawings one can find across the net, decided to pit ol' Squidface against (what I feel to be) a more appropriate foe.
The 90's Gamera
The Gamera Trilogy dealt with various mythic/mystic concepts as well as Dark Sci-Fi (shit, just look at Gamera 3: Revenge of Irys). With a world wrapped up in science fiction and mythology (Ancient civilizations with technology and capabilities far beyond ours) just felt like it'd make for a nice fit overlapping with the dark world of Lovecraftian Lore.
And while this version of Gamera is nowhere near as big of an 'Engine of Destruction' as Godzilla is, he more than makes up for it in the abilities department.
So I went and drew this picture. Was fun getting to draw Gamera again (though his head gave me some problems). And used a whole plethora of Cthulhu drawings from across the net as reference material for my own take on the 'Big C'.
Hope it looks good.

The very second issue of CRYPT OF CTHULHU had old Squid-Face fighting with Godzilla on the cover.Since there was no story inside, readers insisted on one, and it was finally wriotten. Typical knock-him-on-his-butt fighting. Doesn't Cthulhu have a psionic attack ?
A lot of people, sensitives, "heard" his call -and some went mad, one permanently so.
