Why is all her art online low res?

She sells prints of nearly all she does on her website

Yes, I know. I've been a fan of her art since the 1990's. I have several books with her art in them. I've just never understood why she posts her art online in such a low resolution. Not everyone wants their art given out for free in high resolution. I get that. But whats shes done is a little extreme compared to how other artists handle it. I asked her why once like 2 years ago and she completly ignored me like I asked her a stupid question.
