Pipaluk, aka 'The' Silver Caribou

This is Pipaluk, my mascot and the symbol of my little craft/taxidermy hobby business. She (yes, she - female caribou have antlers if you didn't know) is my fanciful interpretation of a little Inuit myth about a benevolent spirit that occasionally appeared to lost travelers on the tundra and led them to safety. This spirit always appeared in the form of a white, gray or silvery furred caribou and was always accompanied by the sound of clicking beads and a sense of well being and comfort. She was said to only appear for a moment but always left behind a trail of hoof prints that would lead the travelers to shelter, warmth and food. Her name means mother, or nurse in the Inuit language. :)
Sketched/shaded with charcoal and then digitally colored in PS.
I did the base drawing and shading, then a good friend of mine (Brianna Garcia by name, she's a a rather hot commodity on Deviantart so some of you may have heard of her) helped me 'paint' her in Photoshop while giving me a much needed lesson in digital coloring. :)
