I think that is a definite possibility! Though they are good hunters of gremlins and other key-and-small-object thieves, that sort of balances it out!

Yes, they use actual fur of varying sorts (mostly rabbit). :)

What's different about Roka's fur that it can't leave the US?

His fur is grey fox fur, and it can't be sent to all countries due to wildlife/export laws. Some places it would be ok, but it would be dependent on the country, so if you're interested in him and not in the U.S., drop me a note!
