Cool. What kind of isolation will you use? I mean. If you have it right on the skin, it might have sharp edges and just for fun cut of your hand^^'

I didn't put it on to make contrast with the background, but I'll use leather gloves with them, and cuts for fun, I make myself a lot while making this XD

how can you grip a sword with that peice over the thub?
ps is that hammered aliminium, if so how hard is it to work on?

I don't quite understand your first question XD I can only answer "with my hand" for there's no metal under it.

And the material is galvanized iron (just iron, the zinc tends to fall down when I polish it XDDD)
