This has been SUCH a long time coming. Between fucking HATING the yellow and the fact that she had all but lost all element of slothage she ever might have had, I was about sick of her. I've wanted to do this for -ages- but I honestly just dreaded all the negative feedback I'd receive about changing her up "for no reason". There is a reason. This is the way she's meant to be... and it was getting downright pathetic that I was avoiding turning her into what I really wanted her to be just because I knew someone else wouldn't like it. It took

knocking some damn sense in me to see that.
I think I've finally reached that one level of satisfaction where it no longer feels like I forced it.

in all seriousness though - it's your character, and if its gotten to the point that you don't like drawing her then its time for a change. i had the same issue twice last year and did a complete fucking rehaul both times before I felt happy. your personal character should be something you're happy to draw c:
I love the combo of the blues and the greyish tan colours. very slick design, it's more muted but it's still got that cute Adele slobbery monsteryness :>

Well, I'm not sure I could live with myself if she ever became something that someone couldn't look at and say, "That's Adele!"... which I'm pretty positive is still there. She's still Adele, but I can't get away with calling myself Sloth like I do when you wouldn't know she was a sloth by looking at her... and it's an important aspect of her and.. me? I don't know. It had to be done. Sloth colors are hot, imho.. and it's all in the ears and claws and fluff.

SEE: VISUALLY APPEALING (all dem colours are deliciously complementary <3) although there is the loss of the iconic look of her, but OH WELL. ITS NOT LIKE YOU'LL LOSE FRIENDS OVER THIS.

SOMEONE ELSE WAS A GENERALIZATION, BUTTERHEAD.
Also I'm pleased to know that it's been a step in the right direction to everyone else too. FUN FOR ALL. WIN WIN. The iconic color loss is a sad thing. That's really the biggest tear there is, but it was a worthwhile sacrifice. That purple/blue on yellow was getting pretty barfy.

While I don't really have the history to understand how iconic the old color scheme was, I really enjoy the current one. Earthy tones and bluegreens = <3. I'm glad that you decided to do what was right for you.
It was really fun seeing this happen in real time. Playin' around with the color schemes and stuff. I'm like... Honored 'n stuff to have been there.
