Bohemian Bearcat Brew
As a gift for our two year wedding anniversary, I decided to try my hand at brewing. I made my husband homemade root beer, and it actually worked! It was quite an adventure (I've never done anything remotely like that before) and I was so pleased it actually turned out well. Carbonated and not exploded!
I also made this label for him. The original itself is painted in acrylics and india ink. The text on the bottom of the label is a bit of a joke - it's my attempt at translating 'root beer' into Czech.
Rampant binturongs make me happy inside. :)

Thank you. :)
I basically just researched about it online and then went to a local brewery supply place to get what I needed and gave it a shot! It's not that hard to do but the start up cost for all the supplies is steep. And everything has to be kept sterilized or you'll end up with something a bit dangerous, so the directions have to be followed to a T.

I am -totally- brainstorming offering something of this ilk as a commissionable item. :D Have been for a while, too, but I'm still looking into the legality of sending something alcoholic across state lines.
I hope he loves the root beer! I bet it's the best you've ever tasted. XD

I was considering it, too, but after doing a lot of research into it, I decided just to do custom labels and save the brews for gifts. There's just too much risk in selling anyone food/beverage type items - especially when dealing with the rules/taxes/permits for selling alcohol.
Plus with the cost of it, plus of making and putting the labels on by hand, unless people were willing to spend a mint on each bottle it's just not feasible. But I've been working on some custom labels to send to people to put on their own bottles, and that seems a nice alternative. :)
