It's ironic that you say that, because his paws were literally as big as my hands. When loose and hanging, they were as big as my hands relaxed. When splayed out, his toes were wider than my hands could spread out. It's hard to get an idea from it, but my hands are actually quite large. I am 6'1". And i can spread across more piano keys than Mozart, if I remember right, by two keys.

His favorite spot was between the front legs, on the belly. he'd lift his leg like, "Scratch me here!" but he never did the bicycle. I wondered if it was just near to his heart.

They all react differently to being scratched. Sky would turn himself into a ball when you scratched his chest and cock his head up and to the side. Tundra just closes her eyes and get a look of being off in outer space.

I like how you can read his body language on this one. Tail (seems to be) relaxed, ears back to his head. Very friendly and peaceful.

I got to work with a friends wolf pack 30 years ago and that's one of the reasons I have Malamutes now. They are very pack minded so they interact with you much like wolves do but they don't have some of the wolf's nasty habits.
