OH MY GAWD.
This burnings is feeling like it will NEVER be finished!!! For some reason this piece of wood is proving to be extremely challenging to burn on, I am wondering if it has anything to do with the way it was cut. I don't know...but I am running out of time to get this done! Hopefully I have a final image to post soon =D WISH ME LUCK I NEED IT!!!!

When working on my Patriotic Eagle I knew that once it was finished it would either be a Christmas present to my Grandfather or my Father, and since I have been meaning to do one for my Grandfather for a few years now I chose him.
Once my dad saw the finished burn I knew I would have to do one for him, but instead of repeating myself I thought it would be neat to do a completely different picture, one that was made specially for him. He likes mean looking eagles and he sent me a picture of a decal from a motorcycle to see if maybe that was something I could do. I said sure =)
But...like I do with a lot of reference pictures, I changed certain things that I did not like in the original to fit what I ultimately want to portray, so while he may think he knows what he is getting, he doesn't =P
This piece is rather large so I will have to make do with pictures yet again, here are the rough dimensions:
Length: 21"
Width:12"
This image is just a snippet of whats to come! The goal here is to make his wings/feathers look like they have stars and stripes in them like the American flag, though I am not quite sure I want to color this one. If I did, the only thing I would probably color is the stripes in the feathers, its really too early to say at this point. I just thought I would share because I really like how his talons came out <3
