This Sub-Saharan African bird can be found on the backs and rumps of many a mammal on the savannahs. Taking most of their livelihood from these animals, even nests made of animal hair, they feed on blood bloated ticks as well as pecking at festering wounds to attract more parasites and feed directly on blood. Yum!
