A simple representation I made of baby ferrows.
These represent the four tribes that exist in the sky, the mountains, the ground, and the dark.

Sky ferrows reside in the clouds in the sky. They are very lightweight and fluffy. Their fluff resembles clouds more than fur; it is in large amounts to shield them from the cold of the clouds. They have the largest wings, so they usually have the longest and voluminous hair. They are normally pastel in color because of their constant exposure to the sun. They are graceful, but not very fast. Their lack of weight makes it harder for them to move through the air, resulting in slower speeds while running and flying. However, they can fly extremely high and for extreme lengths of time. Their ears are pointed upward.
Sky ferrows are usually prestigious and of high class.

Mountain ferrows reside in the arctic climate of the mountains. They have thick, fluffy patches of fur on their bodies. Their hair is normally very puffy, although natural length may vary. They are normally shades of blue and grey to camouflage in their environment. They are very slow due to the thickness of their skin and fur, but they are physically stronger than other ferrows. They can adapt to extreme cold temperatures that no others can with only their bodies. They cannot fly for long periods of time because they are heavier than other ferrows. Their wings, however, are larger than the other two earth ferrow tribes'. Their ears are pointed downward.

Ground ferrows reside in the many different geological features of the earth. The two main natural areas are the tropics and deserts. They have minimal fur patches due to the warmer climates. They are typically warm, natural colors, but because they have adapted the most out of all ferrows to different locations, they are the most that are often seen with any colors. They have smaller wings than the mountain and sky ferrows, but they can fly longer and faster than the mountain ferrows. Their wings are not as useful as the others' because they can easily travel by walking or public transportation. They have the most average, balanced stats of all the ferrows.
Their ears point downward.

Dark ferrows reside in caves and other generally dark places. They have average, but smooth fur, except for longer parts on the elbows, knees, and back. They are always dark colored. Unique to only them are glowing eyes. The glow helps their night vision drastically. They are nocturnal in nature, but some have adapted to normal sleeping patterns. They are very light weight with little volume, so they are very quick on their feet. They rarely use their wings as the glow may attract unwanted attention. They can travel anywhere by walking or running without drawing attention. Their ears point backward for improved aerodynamics.
Dark ferrows are of low class. Due to their quick and shady nature, they are usually seen as a whole as criminal and dangerous. They are mainly seen as thieves or assassins, although most have never committed such crimes.

Note: This information may change over time. It is also about the natural living ferrows. Most ferrows live in civilizations like humans with cities, buildings, clothings, etc.
Typically:
Sky ferrows live in sky cities.
Mountain ferrows live in snowy towns and villages.
Ground ferrows live in any normal urban, suburban, or rural area.
Dark ferrows live in many different places, the most common being urban cities.

Any ferrow can live in any livable habitat and they can associate with any other ferrows.

This information is only a guide to distinguish the four different types of ferrows. Naturally they are still in tribes. Otherwise, they live independently with their own beliefs. They can or can not live by the guidelines presented in the natural ferrow lifestyle.

Ferrows can have their hair cut, and their wings will be gone. If they are cut completely, they will be fully restored after a couple years.

Therefore, if anyone was to make a character of this species, they could literally have it doing anything and living in any way.
Also, any ferry type can have individuals who are much out of the norm (color, stats, shape, etc).

(On a side note: They don't always have two-toned or whatever hair. I just really love two-toned hair. And I also call sky ferrows "ice cream babies" because they're so puffy and pastel like ice cream.)
